We can order any IV medications and work with you to custom design IV infusion therapies for your specific needs and conditions, which can be administered directly in the clinic. We also provide a variety of IV vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants, and other agents for recovery, performance, cognition, and well-being. Some of the common and unique intravenous infusions that we provide are described below, but many others are also available.
Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin/Hydroxocobalamin/Cyanocobalamin): One of the most essential vitamins yet easily depleted cofactors, especially in high-metabolic endurance athletes, B12 is necessary for cell turnover, DNA synthesis, and optimal bone marrow and blood cell functions. Because this is such an essential factor in methylation reactions needed in cellular repair, we usually recommend the highest quality methyl-B12 version. B12 and other factors can also be injected under image-guidance at injury sites to accelerate healing of nerves and other tissues, and we can also do alpha-lipoic-acid (ALA) infusions, as described in further detail in the section on Neuropathy & Myelin Repair.
Lipotropic Fat-Burning Kit (B12 + MIC + L-Carnitine): This combination of B12 + Methionine + Inositol + Choline + Levocarnitine helps increase fat burning capacity during athletic performance and at rest, plus it helps increase metabolism, break down fats and cholesterol, increase levels of the potent antioxidant glutathione, and improve insulin sensitivity. This can also be combined with medicated creams and other treatments to enhance fat breakdown in focal areas of concern.
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid): Essential in collagen crosslinking and connective tissue functions, as well as immunity, skin health, and other functions. Because it cannot be stored long-term in the body, old world sailors carried citrus fruits to replenish vitamin C on long adventures at sea. Recent evidence has also shown that specific doses of vitamin C + magnesium can have anti-cancer/anti-tumor effects, which may also explain the beneficial effects of Myers' cocktail (1) (2).
Glutathione (GSH): The body's primary antioxidant, prone to become depleted in high metabolic athletes who routinely deplete glycogen stores under prolonged oxidative stress. It also declines as we age and during illness, and some evidence suggests its supplementation can significant benefit Parkinson's disease, autoimmune disease, neuroinflammation, and chronic fatigue syndrome. If taken orally it is degraded in the digestive tract before it can be absorbed, so it can instead be given as an IV drip or injection either prophylactically or for recovery after an event or extreme tissue stress.
Thiamine & B-Complex Vitamins: Essential co-factors for many nerve, muscle, and heart functions, and often depleted in people who have severe metabolic demands, prolonged illness, poor nutrition, poor absorption, certain medication usage, or other conditions or genetic disorders.
GOAL (Glutamine, Ornithine, Arginine, Lysine): GOAL amino acids help promote natural growth hormone release, and can also be used for weight loss and endurance: glutamine aids in healing and cell repair, ornithine can help sleep recovery, reduces fatigue, and boosts energy levels, while arginine increases nitric oxide and blood supply to tissues, and lysine helps to burn fat calories.
Tissue Repair, Healing, & Recovery Combo Kit: Optimized for tissue healing and maximum performance, this powerful specialized infusion can include various combinations of B12 (Methylcobalamin), Leucovorin, Folic Acid, Levocarnitine, Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), Glutathione, Zinc, Iron, as well as Peptides, Stem Cells, and other anti-oxidants or anti-inflammatory agents. We can also provide the full range of amino acids, iron infusions, and any other specialized combination tailored for your needs (particularly for athletes with high metabolic demands, high tissue strains, and need for rapid recovery). We can also provide toradol (ketorolac) injections as a potent anti-inflammatory agent that avoids all the downsides of steroid injections.
Bone Marrow Optimization: we can treat many forms of anemia and bone marrow suppression by targeting the root cause of the problem and stimulating bone marrow stem cells to enhance cell number and function. This may include various forms of methyl-B12, folinic acid, iron infusions, as well as many other amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and medicinal agents. We can also provide total nutritional support for cancer patients to optimize bone marrow health and treat anemia, leukopenia, and fatigue after chemotherapy and radiation or after bowel resection, as well as IV anti-nausea agents and gut health restoration.
Thymosin Alpha 1 Peptide (Tα1): Evidence has shown this peptide can help calm cytokine storms and produce a boost in immunity to help recognize and eradicate infectious agents (many viruses like EBV, CMV, SARS-CoV-2 (COVID19), as well as lyme disease can produce latent lingering long-haul symptoms) (3) (4) (5) (6). It may also have some anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory effects... see the peptides page for more information. It can also be combined with other tissue-healing agents, immune enhancers, and bone marrow-boosting agents (see Healing & Recovery below).
NAD+: Ground-breaking research has shown that NAD+ can protect tissues and organs plus also renew stem cell profiles and reset the epigenetic landscapes in our mitochondrial and cellular DNA. NAD+ is known as a "sirtuin activator" and numerous studies have shown measurable metabolic enhancements and anti-aging effects at the cellular and organ levels all the way up to measurable gains in physical and mental performance. It packs a punch and is given as an infusion over an hour or so, and ideally should be given with B12 to ensure methylation functions are optimized since these pathways overlap. Interestingly, some evidence suggests that agents like NAD+ and others may also be effective for overcoming a variety of addictions to food, alcohol, drugs, etc. NAD+ is based on a niacin molecule precursor and acts as an electron carrier in mitochondrial energy production, and this form essentially simulates energy deficiency and revs up adaptations to low energy supply (thereby essentially simulating calorie deficiency and excercise through different mechanisms in all cells). Thus NAD+ has been shown to enhance metabolic states and improve lipid metabolism, including raising HDL while lowering bad lipids like LDL and Triglycerides (TG) (7) (8).
Anti-Aging Combo Kit: Includes known sirtuin activators mentioned above as well as neuroprotective and neuroregenerative agents that aid in neural repair and boost physical and cognitive performance. Methylene Blue: this potent anti-oxidant is being studied for numerous beneficial effects, including cognitive and neuroprotective benefits after concussion, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and neurodegeneratives diseases, as well as anti-cancer properties, suppression of painful nerve signaling, support of stem cell reservoirs, and rejuvenating effects on dermal fibroblasts to improve collagen production (9) (10) (11) (12) (13) (14) (15) (16) (17) (18) (19) (20) (21) (22) (23). This effect has been shown in dermal fibroblasts (24) and may also extend to improving fibroblast functions in collagen strengthening and repair of tendons and ligaments. Relief from Chronic Pain, CRPS, PTSD, Migraines, Anxiety, or Psychiatric Conditions: these infusions may include certain vitamins and antioxidants, natural NMDA antagonists like magnesium, alpha-2 agonists like clonidine, tizanidine, dexmedetomidine, as well as ketamine infusions, which have been shown to be useful in some recalcitrant cases of chronic pain caused by cancer or neuropathic conditions like complex regional pain syndrome [CRPS]. Ketamine infusions are also being studied for refractory psychiatric conditions of depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, PTSD, bipolar disorder, as well as for fibromyalgia, Rett syndrome, and Parkinson's disease. These agents may also have synergistic benefits with sirtuin activators and other beneficial agents described above, and we also do trigger point injections with a variety of therapeutic agents as well stellate ganglion blocks, nerve blocks, and ablation therapies.
Several additional bespoke customizations can be created as necessary, including specialized electrolytes, rehydration, and nutrition regimens tailored to your needs (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate, amino acids, vitamins, etc.). Semaglutide & Tirzepatide: These powerful peptide medications can induce rapid weight-loss, control blood sugar, suppress hunger cravings, along with many other health benefits. Diabetic patients on these peptides and/or metformin should generally also receive methyl-B12/folate supplementation to ensure that their cobolamin, folate, and homocysteine levels remain optimal and to help avoid megaloblastic anemia, peripheral neuropathies, cardiovascular disease, etc. (25). Simular effects of hunger suppression, delayed gastric emptying, fat-burning lipolysis, and blood sugar control can also be achieved with other types of peptides as well.
